had this microphone for a very long time huh whatd you use it for oh man lets go back i think i got this microphone when i was 18 how old are you now 29 its like a 10yearold microphone sterling audio microphone no you dont got to say its a cardioid no its not a cardioid microphone its got three different settings theres omni
setting omnidirectional and then bidirectional and then cardioid cardio cardioid its called cardioid because its your heart well its close its called cardioid because the uh area that it picks up is a heart shape so so omnidirectional means it picks up all oh 360 degrees bidirectional means like you can have one person talking on one
side and then another person talking on the other side and then cardioid it kind of makes like a heart shape so youll get like a bunch of area in front of the microphone that you can talk to and then a little bit behind the microphone on each side were in a cardio setting right now because this can make omni okay so tell us what you did with this microphone what was what why do you have it in the first place not everyone just

i wrote a song on my guitar uh a couple weeks ago and then i i brought the microphone back out cuz i thought i was going to do some singing but but it turns out i cant really sing so thats an issue so 10 years ago you could sing and now you cant sing no i still cant sing oh 10 years ago you couldnt sing and now you still cant sing like singing is so much harder than like speaking or rapping cuz you actually have to
control your vocal chords and i didnt know that that was like part of the deal you cant just sit in front of the mic and be like t

no no i would like imitate people and people would think that was funny and i was like oh i might be good at this so maybe like i can just try to imitate the voice of singers so it sounds like im singing like them in the arms of an angel i think that it was better the first time anyways anyways
what did we do today we went on a hike we went on the shortest hike ever but it was a hard hike it was hard one way youre right so basically we went to folsom lake today i never been there nolands like ill take you to folson lake today and then i was like oh i found a trail and hes like no ill take you on a trail and we get there and hes like which trail are we going on its not what happened thats exactly what happened i was like wait
how happened to the truck you were going to take me on what no what happened was we were just having such a great engaging conversation in the car and i wasnt paying attention to google maps so i missed the exit that i was going to take oh so you were really going to but i knew i had the awareness that i wanted to take you on the west side but we were on highway 50 which comes up on the east side
and i noticed that when you showed me the trail that you wanted to go on that it was the east side trail so i was like hey sarah pull up that trail that you want to go up on and therefore and then we arrived there in like 10 minutes later yeah its true so basically this trail was just through some bushes and stuff and um it went up this little hill it was a quick uphill not that bad
but the downhill was the problem like cuz we knew that wed have to go up this hill again so we came across a lake or was it lake fullsome and yeah we spent the day there i thought it was pretty fun what did we do when we got there like so we we chilled we made some sandwiches ate an orange so tell me people of listening to this podcast
fast so you know theres no such i mean youre not supposed to litter right no littering dont throw your trash on the ground but what about fruit peels i think theres no problem is it acceptable to just throw fruit peels all over the place i mean i know that its it can go back to nature the animals insects or whatever will just eat that all up
its might even be good for nature i dont know the biology to that but what if everybody decides to just throw fruit peels all over the place because its okay on the freeway throw it out the door on the sidewalk in the neighborhood you think thats okay sarah i didnt want you get my lunch box dirty i mean i didnt say there was nothing wrong with it i would do it too im just wondering what the crowd thinks what would the crowd think i dont know
i think that are there some people that are strictly against it and like why would you throw it away or some people are like why wouldnt you do it i think the average person would be fine with it right
but depends on where it goes right true like youre not going to throw your orange peel on the ground when youre at church why not but like outside but if youre like on some random trail i think its fine because you know that its going back to the environment yeah some animals going to eat it and its not going to look bad in the meantime cuz nobodys looking there in the first place and i think theres some sort of biology to it that is actually good to do that so keep throwing your fruit
heels on the ground people on the trails its good for the environment is that your psa for the day yes okay public service announcement i just didnt do it because i couldnt throw it far enough to get into the water and i wanted to get in the water so i just left it there in your lunch pale so the thing the interesting thing about folsome lake is and i didnt know this at the time is theres a lot of boats yeah theres a lot of boats that like to do like wake boarding
and intertubing down there there were so many boats and in that little section of the lake that we were at we counted like over 15 bo boats at one point just driving around each other and it was probably even more now heres the thing we saw a lot of people wake boarding there but there was this one person that just could not do it and we just it was a kid ah it was a child was it yeah
it was older than the kid no well we tried and we pushed him to go we were yelling you can do it and like make your dreams come true and all that stuff but i think what he took like five times and he couldnt get it i think the question for the audience at this point is if someones failing no if your child is failing at something over and over and over and over again
head and every time he tries to do it theres really no improvement theres no improvement with each with each attempt how many attempts do you allow your child at that point whats the average attempts three f 10 i think they let that kid try for a good like 30 minutes there in that spot and then what happened did you succeed no he he got in the boat and i thought you were a clapping
for him i clap for the next guy that cut up oh i didnt see it then yeah well anyways it was a good day a lot of boating was happening and we were enjoying the wat sitting on the shore and we were sitting on the shore im pretty sure those people were like those people wish they were us and i was thinking those people are having a lot of fun but i was having a lot of fun too i was getting wet in the water my shoe fell in the lake but its
its okay it would dries see people sometimes things happen that you dont want them to happen but you dont have to stress about it the shoes will dry yes i did walk in what shoes up that steep hill but it wasnt the end of the world my feet are okay you persevered uhhuh psa dont stress the small stuff is that is that the quote

dalton just graduated ufc davis so we want to give a shout out to dalton and congratulate him i know we congratulated him yesterday but really proud of you man i know nolan is too right yeah absolutely he got his degree in political science i thought it was a re relations international relations whats the difference i dont know i dont know either well no there is a difference im sure there is
but they they seem pretty similar international relations and political science well i was thinking maybe international relationships has to do a lot with i dont think its relationships relation i dont know international relation i dont know relationships oh international relations yeah oh well i think it has to do with uh reaching out
internationally through government i dont know but all i know is um he did a really great job finishing up and you
people wish hes ready for that next chapter in lifeoh where he does international relations stuff yeah so i bet they signed a lot of treaties in international relations yeah thats all saying treats they make treaties and they sign they uh communicate internationally yeah yeah mhm so good job and good luck getting where you want to get to made this

right at nolan when this was all happening and dalton just sneaks up right next to nolan and i thought it was sarah at the time because i couldnt think of anyone else who would be kissing me at that moment he gave you a wet one and it was a wet there was a little bit of tongue a little bit of tongue in that too i dont know i think dalton was just really happy and you know he said he needed to kiss someone yeah just needed to let loose you know when you get excited about something or just really
happy everybody control yourself everybody has their own little i dont know move that they do and is might be kissing his friends you know what do you do when youre excited sometimes i scream you scream yeah the other day i was so excited to be off work i was like and i went like that oh headphone listeners beware for the fucking clap she just unloaded into your ears way to announce that right
after the fact should have prepared the audience should i had my time machine ready yeah so apparently nolan thinks we can travel back in time he asked me do you think time travel will ever happen and i was like no i dont think that can ever happen honestly how could it ever happen no theres absolutely no way youd literally have to go back in time how do you say you literally would have like that would be
impossible time always moves forward i dont think time can is ever meant to move backwards i think you might be right about time not being meant to move backwards unless youre like daylight savings time but that doesnt really count cuuse youre not time traveling back in time youre just changing the time to back i mean to an hour back once a year okay but no but yeah nolan you think you we at one point you thought we could time travel it was a possibility
like everythings possible i think it if if we have these quantum computers that can do everything quantum computers but uh i dont think ive ever seen anybody go in a computer so we cant just time travel like the computer would have to reach out to the environment and allow us to
time travel we cant just go in you know it its making sense in my head but i dont know how to explain it so i dont maybe you gotly so youre saying that we need to go inside computers in order to time travel you know you might be right because some people say were living in a simulation and if a simulation is computer generated there might be a record
of everything thats ever happened do you think weve been living in assimulation our whole life i think some people do you think everythings possible youve been playing too many video games thats what it is havent been playing enough video games lately anyways anyways sarah got jealous and then kissed me on the other cheek immediately afterwards no i didnt get jealous i was just like

this is the nolen station this is the no station so actually weve got two more weekends of saraless living until you move in who moves in you move in until i move in three weekends so so were going to have some partying youre gone huh oh next weekend

youre going to be judging me i dont know anyways i kind of just freak out a bit not freak out but like it kind of is hitting me in a way because moving in with each other is just a new a closer or next step in advancing your relationship and you know there are steps in a relationship and each step just gets you closer to i dont know and even more advanced relationship
step so thats whats going on how many steps are there in a relationship uh well there would be like first step is the first date okay no no no the first step is meeting each other like initial contact initial contact it can be through text it can be through uh internet it can be through just coming across each other in person the next step
after that is the first date okay because that means youve come to terms with maybe i do want to meet this person or i do want to meet this person see what theyre about and then the third step is the third date so on the third date so lets go back in time i never knew about the step nolans the one who told me i introduced you to the third step is the one that introduced me to this third step
and ill tell you what happened and how i found out about this third step so on me and on nolan and uh nolan and my me and nolans first date i mean third date he took me sailing and um ive never been sailing before so i didnt know what to expect he looked like he knew what he was doing he was like putting that sale up like he knew what he was doing i was
like good cool i dont know anything so then we go out in the water the water is calm but i was like i guess this the what the sales like work with the wind work with the wind to move it and we ended up in the middle of a lake and um i could tell like it wasnt going the way nolan planned and nolan was even saying that this wasnt the way it was supposed to go and that he forgot to bring the
or is that what it is the paddle the paddle that would have helped us go back to shore and i was just like um i was just sitting there and no one wasnt really saying much either but except for the fact that we that i dont know i dont remember what you said but just the fact that it was i think thats when you said it was there where youre like uh their date is to make it or break it and you were kind of like right no no okay what happened
when you got to the house and i opened the door i said third date make it or break it and i was like is he hinting that he wants to like break it already or is he thinking that putting
pressure on me to break it that he thinks im going to break it like end it like no i was just setting the tone for the for the date i was like we got to like figure things out were coming to the fork in the road we got to pick which road were going to go down yeah so um and then the boat stuff happened and then the boat stuff happen i dont remember but anyways um so i was like
feeling some sort of pressure im like do i go on with this is he saying that i have to make the decision now like after this day ends and just not talk to him anymore because the date went so bad like whats going on in his head i dont know whats going on but i liked nolan so i was like and i think he liked me so i was like its okay you cant expect everything to be perfect every date to be perfect just cuz the sailed boat didnt actually sail does it mean i have
to end this date so i was like ger keep going and we had a good night that night so you have to finish telling the sailboat story oh okay so then we couldnt even move cuz were in the middle of the the lake we were literally stuck we werent moving the wind stopped blowing mhm werent moving we we stayed in the same spot for like 30 minutes we were thinking maybe there was some wind that could push us in or can i dont
know the river would flow the water to make the boat good towards the the uh dock but no so nolen did the unthinkable and he called the office to get somebody somebody to bring us right back to shore and so somebody came out tied a rope to the sailboat and attached it to their boat and they tell us back tell us back it was so embarrass
i was like oh my god its not that fun i think thats why i dont like sailing cuz we never have had a good sale really yeah like one that where we can continuously sale its like an the last time we went that had at least some wind it was just uh on and off right so it was ne its never been good the way i feel like youve experienced it right and when the wind would have been good theyre like you cant go sale
and then nolan like looks all tough like hes about to fight someone hes like okay and then we go im like i thought you were i thought you were going to say something thought youre getting all tough here so we can go sailing all right anyways so thats step three so thats step three the third date make it or break it whether one person at the third day loses realizes they lose interest and decide not to pursue the relation
ship or they are both on the same page and decide to pursue the relationship further so thats the third step and then um the fourth step is um during that third third step to the fourth step its the honeymoon phase is it yeah during that whole entire time its the honeymoon phase not to say it ends before the first fourth at the so when at what point do we come
boyfriend and girlfriend oh what point do we become exclusive i forgot that step thats right never mind okay so youre still dating never mind then the next the fourth step is the boyfriend and girlfriend stage then you decide to be boyfriend and girlfriend and during thats the hardest step yeah why cuz you got to tie off all your loosense oh i guess was that hard for you nolen no

going on vacation with somebody no the first stage is just becoming boyfriend and girlfriend so you can go on different vacations with people its what youre saying and thats cool you dont have to be boyfriend and girlfriend with somebody i mean if you both decide to but like lets say well um i guess so if you both decide its fine i thought you werent being a little ho i thought you were so lets say for example im dating four girls at the same time is it okay for like me to go on vacation
with like two of them well if it were i think it depends on the person like if it were me i wouldnt be okay with that i didnt know if you were talking to other people at that time i thought it was just me and you buse we always hung out or had a good time together so i didnt know and um i dont think i would be okay with it i think it depends on the people some people like just having companion like travel buddies and um maybe they have an interest in you and just
want the attention and just want to go and find having several travel buddies but um i dont uh think i wouldnt like that so um so thats the fourth stage is being boyfriend and girlfriend yeah cutting your ties okay being exclusive being exclusive and then the the fifth step would be moving in with each other ooh so were
at the fifth step getting there two more weeks but um weve been together for a year and uh like the months so um thats how long it took us to get to the fifth step but ive been seeing a lot of different people moving in after two months moving in after six months moving in after the years so you do it at your own pace whenever it feels right um i think you should just really make sure you get to know somebody
before moving in with them and i usually think that a year is a good amount of time to know somebody to a certain extent of doing whether living with each other would be a good option okay thats fair so ive known nolan for a year and a half but weve only been exclusive for a year and three months and then so then the
the sixth step of a relationship which is what we are um is our next step after the fifth step after the fifth step is the sixth step would be um it would be like buying a pet together or something that can be an option it depends if you buying a pet yeah because yeah cuz now youre buying some
something so youre saying before you get married with somebody you need to buy an animal no i dont know i mean i figured because youre testing the waters youre like its the somebody i would want to marry right now if they cant take care of a a dog sarah youve seen my cactus yeah and i am impressed i gave nolen a cactus back august of last year and that thing is thriving like i am impressed so i
think you would be great at raising things so um i would say the sixth step is like owning a pet together you dont have to cuz not everybodys a pet person the sixth step is optional the sixth step is optional um and it can also happen in a later step too the seventh step
step is engagement what is engagement versus marriage whats the difference we need a camera so you guys can see sarahs face holy shit jesus she looks at me like im an idiot cuz hes like whats the difference between getting married and getting engaged so getting engaged is um you
dont have enough money and you havent made plans to tie the knot yet but you have enough money to buy a ring and you want to say this ring means i want to spend the
rest of my life with you here do you accept that is what engagement is and it its it leads you to step eight which is marriage so hello if were on step five and step eight is marriage were closer to step 8 then we are to step one yeah so thats whats kind of scary
is it scary i dont know cuz youve lived your whole life a certain way you know i dont know what its like to be married ive never been married but ive never lived a married life so and you know people say a lot of things about marriage theres like problems and divorce and all that stuff so its a very serious thing you know so thats what makes it scary
sure once you sign those papers theres no turning back and if you want to turn back its a long process and expensive process so im not being pessimistic i dont think i will ever get divorced in my life because i wouldnt choose anybody who i think i would not want to marry or feel like i would divorce so im not scared of that but its just the fact that its a serious no it i dont think it could happen
unless my husband cheats on me then thats a whole another story obviously that would be the end of everything and everyones life everyones life would be ended right there sarah tells me like every diff like at least once a week sarah will let me know like a new creative way that she would kill me if i cheated on her no you told me how you kill me today thats the first time ive ever you told me another time last week i dont
remember no now youre making me seem like that person like some sort of like paranoid person i dont think you will ever cheat on me nolan no i wont so um i think its just its a big commitment kind of like buy like cuz i bought a motorcycle right and that was like i cant just return it for the full refund like that was a huge commitment that i made that i regret so i think of it as marriage you now its a
commitment that now you have to hold on to and if you want to get rid of it its going to cost you and that leads to our last steps of relationship marriage and then after that marriage and compases kids and owning a house and yeah yeah well tell you guys about those steps after we get to uh step eight or something oh that was the
those all the steps well we you just listed like more steps no like having kids and owning houses and stuff no because those steps can happen in all different directions you can have a house first or you can have kids first and then a house or you can have a house and then you can uh get divorced and then have kids or you can have like theres different or you can have a car and then a house and then a kids or you can have a kid then a car then a house so theres too many different steps okay its just what encompasses that last step is very broad

people are protesting nowadays because of the same feelings that i made nolen have white people making black people feel uncomfortable in their skin because theyre black so i was just telling olan obviously we know black lives movement is black lives matter situation is going on and um protests are happening all that too um i guess maybe
um and police brutality against black people and just all people of color yeah in general um and just try to create a a world that is more equal doesnt matter the color of your skin all that stuff and i was just telling him i feel like maybe the problem is the white people i i have for me personally i have respect for absolute
everyone i told this to nolan yesterday i was like i have respect for everyone everyone has their own way of life because uh theres the reason why they have their own way of life uh i cannot judge i dont know what theyve been through i would respect everyone if somebody decides to disrespect me i can just move on with my life and ignore it im not going to fight them for that cuz i dont know what happened in their life that made them so miserable so but i was just saying i feel like the problem is the white people because
um they dont know what its like to be oppressed so if youve never known what its like to be a certain way then you cant really relate and you think nothing is wrong and so not allway people obviously and not its not just white people but i was just telling him that to make him feel bad to make him understand maybe i dont know what do you think um well as a white
person ive never been in a another colored persons shoes i havent been in a brown person shoes or a yellow person shoes or red person shoes or a black person shoes any of those shoes uh all i can say is you know im a white guy and when somebody has a gun and a taser and a beton that you know and theyre also
hiding behind the fact that if you touch them you get in a lot more trouble if they touch you you got to you just got to be aware of the situation so when it comes to like police brutality and stuff like that uh those policemen they play by a different set of rules and the average citizen does so it its uh im not saying that white people get um discriminated against more than black people
will do but by police but they do still get discriminated against that came out wrong but never bad stuff still happens to white people and i think it has to do with cops feeling so confident that they can do whatever they want to whoever they want i think without repercussions for their actions yeah i think uh police have been getting away with things for too long and its finally coming out
and i think this whole uh the black lives matter movement i think that the oppression against black people stems from stuff that happened a long long time before any of us were even alive so so tell us how you feel audience and that reps up you want to say something else no i dont know theres a lot to discuss on this topic i feel like thats a large
topic that you cant really cover in f yeah i think its a large topic theres very large uh strong opinions in every um way possible with every topic um so i just say respect everybody please and um lets all appreciate living more than killing couldness said it better
