to this weeks episode of wild and mild whats up everybody its been a week but were back yeah we got some updates i guess um all right so today is what tuesday tuesday its raining outside finally and were stuck indoors still worrying about coronavirus right nolan thats right were all worried were also worried about coronavirus
and were really worried and so we have we wanted we want some of your advice right now nolan asked me a very important question this morning so as you know me and nolan live together and right now hes worried that he has coronavirus because he had like a headache all this other stuff congestion but i mean this is something he gets like every week and he thinks its coronavirus anyway
he tells me hey what do we do if i have coronavirus and you dont what do we do we cant and we have a roommate its not like i can go into his you know if i didnt have a roommate you no id go in the other room whatever but we literally sleep in the same bed so what should we do i dont know what should we do sir if you do have coronavirus
so we got plan a nolen moves out for two weeks where am i going to move to finds his own place to live what i can move in with your mom oh yeah turns out my mom also has my mom has coronavirus so fortunately shes saying she has no symptoms at all and shes just taking a bunch of teas and lemonade water and
and tea like a lot of teas and everything to help booster immunity and she said she feels fine and shes probably had it for the past week and a half so um she finally got tested turns out shes positive she got it at work anyways going back to our question theres option a noland moves out for two weeks and with your mom uh my mom lives with somebody so theres no place for you what do you mean what do you mean what do you mean what about the other person
that lives with your mom do they have coronavirus i dont know thats not my problem anymore thats not my situation to figure out so my mom can deal with that as she needs option two i move out for two weeks who are you going to move in with my dad in his house option three well lets just do option b then no because all my stuff is here
and two weeks is a long time and my cat lives i would enjoy it we would enjoy it me and your cat would enjoy that no im taking the cat with me cuz cats can get coronavirus too and you dont know if this cat will take it in the long the wrong way you know like take it and take it out the butt in the wrong way excuse me what do we might me and your cat do when im not here are you having what might me and your cat do when im not here what
i mean anyways the option three is to just fight it together so those are our options nolan took the covid test today and its out in transit to la so well see what happens by the way apparently theres a whole bunch of different ways to take the test i think i did it the easiest way on nolan the way the direction
said to do it where you dont actually necessarily have to stick it all the way to the back of the neck which ive done to my patients plenty of time back the neck yeah so through the nose yeah through the nose to the back of the neck look so you basically go to the back of the neck through the nose it goes to the nasal passages a lot of people are like oh it feels like its in my brain no it doesnt go to your brain it actually goes to the back of your yeah its all its all one
so theres the tube to the mouth and then the tube that goes to the back of the anyway i do that to my patients and its awful and the way i did to nolin i just put it one in sneezed
he sneezed while the thing was in there im just like oh my god it it creates the sensation of wanting to sneeze i sneezed once after the first nostral left nostral and i sneeze during twice in the right nostral interesting and sarah called me a bitch shes like youre such a bitch yeah because ive done way worse things to other patients doing coronavirus like literally sticking a swab all the way to the back of their neck through their nose
and for you i just put it up the nostral like an inch in youre like so anyways you got be stronger next time nolan so yeah just um the only with this corona thing again its been a topic of choice for a long time this whole
tire year pretty much but you got something to add no i guess well wrap up that segment of coronavirus keep yourself safe out there wear your mask and dont go outdoors if you dont need to so its hard though when you have a girlfriend like sarah and she says you might have coronavirus lets do the test but then all
so come with me to the grocery store i didnt say go inside i said stay in the car no i said id come with you but i said id stay in the car yeah that was what i was wanting you to do im a responsible person you were supposed to stay in the car is it responsible for you to go to the grocery store if i have coronavirus in the first place so what i do is i wear my mask i dont touch everything
and i sanitize when i leave the car and i sanitize when i come in so yes it is a risk but i took a lot of precaution its a risk youre willing to take but i took a lot of precaution youre willing it youre willing to put other peoples lives at risk i am a smart individual and i handled it well so
so i mean i guess we didnt have to go out but like i wanted to buy some soup because nolan was feeling sick so i was just trying to make nan feel better my bad well i appreciate that sarah and buy some lemons by the way if you want a really good immune fighter fighting um drink if you like lemonade start eating raw lemons according to sara
that you take six raw lemons you put them in your tea kettle and you add some water you boil them sure is isnt that your recipe what is your recipe i put one lemon and this giant mug i added sugar to like make it more less sour i added the full cup of water and then i i added honey and thats it i put i put one lemon it tasted like you put six lemons in there it tastes
like six boiled lemons i dont know what to tell it was very strong you should asked me to put more honey you didnt say anything youre just like ill fight it anyways its fine if it tastes sour you know youre getting the full effect the lemon i dont know and what is lemons effect on the immune system i think its just like a hispanic thing we feel like lemon and acid like acid is actually good for your body not like the acid acids good for your body but having a no no acid is a bad thing
bad for your body wait what yeah so but either way um either way i drank lemon juice sarahs currently googling something on her phone either way so anyways on to our next topic on to our next topic were going to talk about making music so nan came out with a great song the other
week but i mean he didnt come out with it he was starting to make it i opened the door and he was making it he spent like 4 hours on it i thought it sounded great but heres the problem people nolan has not finished the song just like he hasnt finished 10 other songs that could potentially be great like all your songs are good but you always finish them 1/4 of the way done what are you going to do about that in holland well
if you think about it like i think all my songs get to that 1/4th point because its easy to come out with a singular idea a song is something that has multiple parts to it mhm
and if i get like 1/4th of the way through thats typically like one part of the song i havent made those second third fourth parts of the song that you really need to get the song done so whats your plan on finishing these songs well i dont really have a plan its kind of something that i do recreationally but then nolan tells me every single week you know i wish i can just make music if i can have any job it would be to make music dont s
yes you do you say that every week you sit back you look up at the stars you take a deep breath and youre like man if i could have any job it would be to make music and then he makes one4 songs all the times theyre good for us though right yes theyre good but finish them dont you guys agree if you see let me tell you a lesson in life guys cuz im full of a lot of good advice a lot of
people arent able to be successful because they dont fight to make that one idea the best idea ever they keep making a lot of little ideas and trying to pursue a lot of little ideas when you should just find that one idea and finish it i feel i wish you good guys could experience the eye contact that sarah is making with me right now it is
very intense very intense direct eye contact what she just said and just finish it because if you look out in the world do you see a lot of stuff that is 1/4th done you dont see that you see out in the world stuff that is 100 done right movies out in theaters 100 done movies on the radio 100 b movies on the radio songs on the radio 100
done right theres no one typically like a team of people working on those things though not always not always the person who put up these curtains one person its not its not like one curten is hanging up there both of them are thats 100 you never first no if i remember correctly you tried to put those curtains on but you put them on incorrectly and i had to redo it by yourself

with yarn thats very thick its like as thick as a garden hose maybe even thicker than a garden hose each individual strand is thick as heck so ive been trying to make blankets pillows blankets and pillows but um this yarn is pretty expensive guys this is not something anybody no broke people can be doing this no
but i made some yarn and my cat loves i mean i made some blankets and my cat loves it he likes laying on it i made another one for the couch one night nan couldnt sleep i went to the living room i found him under my blanket that
i made it was pretty that make you feel good to sleep with your blanket made me feel good i was like wow he actually is using this that means its useful and 100 made not one so you made a blanket and then what what else did you make pillow oh yeah yep wheres that at right behind you oh thats what that is grab it grab it okay
beautiful do you think it needs more stuffy stuffy i you honestly sir i dont know what it needs what does it need then but um it does need something i just dont know what it is no and i need some ideas it needs more stuffing i think it needs more stuffing they say its not about the quality of the work its about the quantity
no its about the quality not the quantity if you have listen to me for a second if you knit 100 pieces well call them pieces all right if you need 100 pieces youll be aund times better than when you started right but if you have one piece that you knit that you theorize about knitting you get all them
dimensions figured out you figure out how much yarn youre going to need what technique what patterns youre going to use and you knit one one single item one single piece its not going to be as good as that hundreds piece that you knit without thinking about it because as you knit each item you get a little bit better you figure out the nuance of the nit game you find out that oh
i can do this pattern at this place oh i need to remember the loops are over here and not over here that sort of thing yeah but there is more value you have in that one perfect one versus the value of a of 99 bad ones and finally 100 the one the one that is the last one you do thats finally perfect there is more value because he wasted more materials messing up on 100 on 99 bad pillows
and just like the car world you know like fashion designers and everything you know they make limited stuff and its so valuable buse he put so much effort in that versus stuff you find at ross or something youre not seeing my points sir its not about the value its about you its about your trade its about the experience you when the value when there is high value in something
something is done well theres not necessarily going to be high value what if on your hundreth one its better than the first one that you plan out for 100 years well never know but im not going to buy a one of these yarns thats for sure right i dont know maybe you should think about that with your song you think its better to make a million 1/4 pieces
you think its better to make 1 million 1/4ths than one big than finishing all of them huh im really good at making 1/4th of a song you have to admit that they all sound pretty good you know what i just thought if a really good idea what if you combined them all and made it into a mixed tape and made it seem like a big old mix tape but its one song oh you know i do have some finish songs rock songs that
no i have more rock songs that are finished than electronic songs i like your electronic songs those ones are better really yeah you think so yeah i think my rock is pretty good though but you havent released it release it release it but that goes back to your point i need to make it perfect first before i release it yeah thats true so as you can see theres a lot of theres a lot of stuff that
goes into making a song you know you have to be good musically you have to know your instrument you have to know if especially if youre doing electronic music you have to know drums you have to know base you you have to know harmonies you have to know melodies you have to know how we can all agree musically how it goes together but before you start talking and interrupting me likes music beyond that beyond the music of it so its something of value theres the mixing and the mastering that goes into it too you have
have to know what levels what frequencies each instrument is going to be operating at because you dont want these instruments and stuff to be clasing with each other you want the best out of each instrument
at the best time in each track what im saying yes sir and i think thats what i struggle with the most when it comes to electronic music is mixing and mastering but you do so well well with not many elements in the song its a lot easier to mix and and master but if you have a lot of elements and theres a lot going on it gets kind of complexe
electronic music is theres a lot of theres a lot to it huh yeah a lot of different beats and a lot of different everything huh well you guys dont ever get into making music its not easy as easy as you think it is its not get into nursing im just kidding dont be dont do that
you should get into what would what is the ideal job like what is the ideal job right now in the world yeah i would say that people genuinely love you dont have to be that smart no just any job you you should always be smart at any job but trash man trash man yeah but youre dealing with a lot of gross stuff a lot of trash
lot of needles lot of everything is that really ideal no stock trader yeah but the stock can go up and down visor yeah but you can get sued people be like you told me this and now i have this im going to see you i think the ideal job is something that you can go to work about and then at the end of your shift not
worry about at all and also something that doesnt exhaust you exactly something that you dont have to take home with you something thats not exhausting but i would say something that makes you feel good like it takes a skill set that only you have but also what im also want and somewhere where youre in a good environment where other people respect you but i also want to add like a job the ideal job also means like a job that sets you well and
life you know not obviously everybody wants about money no no just the ideal job your ideal job is one that makes money good money is like everything you said and its just perfect what is that job what could it possibly be you know not many like risk not risky nurse no that is not
ideal job at all nothing in health nothing in healthc is ideal because theres always high risk thats why you make a lot of money in healthcare its a very risky job and high demand job um maybe you guys can uh tell us some ideal jobs maybe like
police officer no everybody hates a lot of people hate police officers its tough to be a police officer what about librarian librarians make good money i think so i think librarian is an ideal job youre right if librarians make a allow you to have a comfortable living i would say so
im not saying its an easy job but if youre good at it it can be good and if youre a librarian most likely you like to read right and so you cuz a lot of people like librarians who know books very well and the only reason why anybody would be a librarian i would think like is passionate about it would be a person who loves to read and so theyre very i think i libraries is an ideal job oh i know its chill
deliver uh mail delivery person post office mail remember what michelle said the postal man the delivery man no its too theres a lot of you know you get blamed for a lot of things lost mail im sure but also oh i heard you cant see the post office but anyways its hard to find mail boxes sometimes you have to go through the gates and theres ficious dogs
it can be hot it can be cold it could be raining you have to be out all day long hours i think it would be a good job but its also a very draining job
too but maybe if youre good at it its not that bad i dont know so yeah maybe i would say a librarian is a good one librarian but theres not many libraries that are open right now actually it might not be an ideal job because there is short demand theres not a demand in them online librarian is that a thing
i dont know if it were a thing then that would be perfect so anyways whats coming up in these next thanksgiving but your mom has coronavirus so she cant come anymore yeah my mom was going to come over for thanksgiving but not anymore um me and nolan are just going to have to celebrate it ourselves we were going to go up
to moun or lake shasta but we kind of felt like it might not be the safe i kind of had a feeling your mom was going to get coronavirus why would you have a feeling i dont no just the way she is she just seems like the type of person that can likes to go out and party my mom mhm no shes not she seems like a little social butterfly to me she got coronavirus only because she works with people who are more social i work with a lot of people though i probably come in contact with a thousand different people
she doesnt wear her mask around the family all the time youre wearing your mask all the time im not wearing my mask all the time and i work with literal covid people so it doesnt really matter its its she got it because the pe the her b her the family she works with all had it and she is in contact with them im tomorrow im going or no in two days im gna have an interview with uc davis medical center
and um ive been kind of mentally preparing myself for that because i really want this job um so i have all my certifications ready im going to make a portfolio so the one question that ive been kind of want trying to figure out how im going to answer if they ask me is how do you deal with a difficult person so nolan how do you deal with a difficult person not necessarily someone who doesnt want who wont leave you alone but like
somebody whos argumentative is it a customer or coworker who is it it can be lets say a customer a customer whos angry and everything i tell him to fuck off yeah you can do that okay well then thats your way but im not going to do that and if if i get an angry customer time go somewhere else i think office max has what youre looking for you know what
i did that one time to a patient so i had this really really um hostile patient everything i did was a way for him to get angry at me everything i offered him pain medicine he got angry at me no well i asked him where his pain was he got he got mad at me i gave him pain medicine he got mad at me and everything so i was like if youre not happy here
then you should consider going somewhere else and that just blew him up buse then hes like he just said a whole bunch of stuff racism and all that stuff like he was acting like i was racist and i was like no its because youre not happy with anything and im doing everything correctly like i dont understand how to please you and if this is if i cant then it doesnt seem like anybody can but uh
um i dont know uh so your way would be like go somewhere else yeah i dont think thats the correct answer what do you mean its not the correct answer cuz it doesnt really solve it doesnt really solve the patients the customers problem cuz what if they dont want to go somewhere else what if youre the only place in a million miles but im not i didnt ask you if
you arent that you arent but you are say were in antarctica yeah and i got a customer that wants what lets say you want you have a customer that wants a a fireplace okay and youre the only fireplace in the world sure and notic i mean and they want like a gas fireplace and i dont have any gas fireplaces no i no lets say that you get lets say they
ordered a gas fireplace with wood and everything they put the ordered a gas fireplace with wood with fake wood and stuff to make it look real okay and they put every detail was all perfect
but then when you presented to them and they came to pick it up um the wood was metal pipes instead okay lets just say and you didnt see that detail that the patient wanted it and would and now why is it always the patient sir i feel like youre reflecting your own issues onto this example so and so the customer is like i lit
really ordered this six months ago and it finally came and this is what i get and now i have to wait six more months to get another one and this is the only place in all of antarctica and now my family at home is freezing to death im freezing to death were out of matches theres no place to get fire and now hes pissed and hes going to see you so so theres no way to get fire but you have this thing here thatl give you fire that will give you
uh heat yeah well just take that one then and stop crying because whether or not you freeze to death because my family my family im allergic to wood to to fake im allergic to metal pipes youre allergic to metal pipes i am so whyd you order the one with the metal pipes in it no i ordered the one with the wood fake wood thats what the customers and
but why do you have a receipt in invoice for one with the pipes no it didnt say that well thats what it says in the system nope i have a receipt here that says its metal its uh wood so lets say its your fault okay its my fault mhm nothing is ever my fault so obviously you dont know how see this is this is why im kind of been dwelling on this question a lot on how to answer it properly and i have an idea of how you
supposed to address and ive kind of of over the years of like things difficult patients or customers that ive had ive learned a lot of what not to say and what doesnt work and what to do um so obviously the situation i gave you was actually pretty difficult because it is your fault you messed up and its there that it was the patient ordered it correctly and youre prescenting it incorrectly i dont know i feel like what i would do
is i would immediately find an alternative to remove those pipes and make it into something more and do it expedited because it is my fault you know mhm and the make it immediately and give it to them and then i would give them a 50 discount yeah but were not running this business at a loss or i dont know all i know is a lot of businesses if a customer is mad theyll say ill to put give you a discount
so and expedite something like if its the business i would do if it was if it was my fault i would tell them that theyre wrong and i would tell them that im the supervisor and then i would block them on instagram this is this is exactly what happened actually didnt we already talk about this on the podcast though i dont think we did so well save it for next podcast so lets
yeah theres actually certain ways um its uh there was a program that they have or a class course that they had me take it at work on how to deal with difficult patients its called the crisis prevention interventions uhoh and theres like lets say you have a very anxious person youre supposed to react in of a supportive way lets say you have an aggressive person youre supposed to act in a directive way lets say you have a
physical person whos like im going to beat you up you actually have to have some physical intervention whether it be getting security or fighting them yourself but also like also like blocking them like you no be like i got to tackle you or something and then yeah cuz i mean if somebodys going to come at you you have no help and theyre going to hit you you know what are you going to do youre not going to say um no please maybe we can resolve this in another
manner sir but theyve theyve gone past that you say sir as theyre punching you sir theres another way to solve this lets think about our options here yeah exactly so i think im just going to look into that and see how to answer the question and go from there so thats what we all wish you luck on your interview we hope you get the job because thats what you want thats what i want isnt it

good its an ideal job because theres a lot of like areas of nursing its not just working in the hospital nursing theres a lot of different types of nursing um so just if you can be a nurse and work at kaiser and work at the front dusk you have the ideal job because they make like $70 $80 an hour and theyre set for life and have an easy job if you work in the er at a county hospital no
your your your nursing life is going to be drained youre going to be drained out like three years what is like drained youre going to be drained the rag is going to be twisted the rag thats the twisting the rag sound yeah what is that what is that sound i dont know
so thats pretty much going to wrap up our podcast how do you say hey in spanish hey oh yeah if im running somebody down that speaks spanish and i want to say hey how do i do it hey without coming off is like rude like how do i say excuse me like not a scooting may but like b me so or like you can say
